Yesterday, the Boston Globe's Political Intelligence blog reported on a few local professors joining the Obama team. One of them is Xavier de Souza Briggs, associate professor of sociology and urban planning at MIT, who has been named Associate Director for Government Programs. He is also founder and director of The Community Problem-Solving Project @ MIT and Working Smarter in Community Development, two popular and innovative online resources for people and institutions worldwide and author of Democracy as Problem Solving: Civic Capacity in Communities Across the Globe.
Congratulations Professor Briggs!
