The Society for Music Theory has recently honored David Huron with the 2007 Wallace Berry Award. Huron received this prestigious award for his book, Sweet Anticipation: Music and the Psychology of Expectation. The book explores the psychological theory of expectation proposed by Huron, which grew out of his experimental efforts to understand how music evokes emotions.
