Noxious New York: The Racial Politics of Urban Health and Environmental Justice has been named the winner of the 2008 John Hope Franklin Publication Prize. The Franklin Prize prize is awarded every year by the American Studies Association (ASA) for the best published book in American Studies.
The award was presented this past Friday at the annual meeting of the ASA, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
