This week's eye candy comes from Atlas of Science: Visualizing What We Know by Katy Börner. Atlas of Science, based on the popular exhibit "Places & Spaces: Mapping Science," (which will arrive at Northeastern University's Snell library tomorrow, January 31st and remain on display through
March) describes and displays successful mapping techniques and features 600 color illustrations.
Here are a few maps from Atlas of Science (click on each image to enlarge). For those of you in the Boston area, be sure to check out the Places & Spaces Exhibit at Northeastern. As an added bonus, Katy Börner will be speaking at 421 Snell Library this Thursday, February 2nd from 4-5 pm with a reception and chance to view the exhibit to follow.
